SCRUPULOUSNESS

2003

On the initiative of a group of companies with consolidated expertise in mechanical design, prototyping, metrology, and quality certification, Pontlab was established in the industrial area of Gello (Pontedera, Pisa). Pontlab is a private laboratory dedicated to testing and measuring materials and components and calibrating instruments.

2007

The company obtains its first certification for UNI EN ISO 9001 Management Systems. In the same year, the factory used up to that point is purchased and radically restructured due to the company's strong expansion.

2012

Pontlab obtains accreditation as Laboratory No. 1286 from Accredia, the Italian Accreditation Body, in accordance with the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard.

2014

This year marks an important moment for the company: a new 700m² facility is opened within CERFITT, entirely dedicated to the analysis and characterization of non-metallic materials.

At the same time, Pontlab inaugurates and launches the Tensocorrosion Laboratory at its headquarters in Gello to carry out tests and analyses on metallic materials subjected to aggressive environments such as hydrogen sulfide. Pontlab expands the area dedicated to functional testing.

This year also sees important awards such as:
- the Ambassadors of Europe Award, established by the Region of Tuscany as part of the conference “Research and Innovation: engine of growth and development for Europe” held during Smau Florence. - National Innovation Award “Premio dei Premi,” established by the Italian government, with the concession of the President of the Italian Republic, at the National Foundation for Technological Innovation COTEC, to celebrate National Innovation Day. - The “Premio Imprese x Innovazione – Andrea Pininfarina” award, promoted by Confindustria.

2018

Pontlab expands its range of equipment with the addition of a latest-generation machine for performing industrial computed tomography. Thanks to this innovation, it now offers non-destructive diagnostic services for analyzing the internal measurements and structures of components or products with extreme precision.

2024

Pontlab is carrying out a corporate rebranding project, developing a new identity that is more in line with its philosophy and values.
