Chemical analysis of metallic and non-metallic materials allows us to determine their composition and verify the quality of the supply over time. Accurate chemical analysis is also essential to guarantee the quality and safety of the finished product, while protecting the environment and consumer health. Such testing allows us to verify the absence of prohibited substances as required by national and international regulations.

Alongside chemical analysis, we characterize polymeric materials to obtain information on the production process, check the quality of the raw material, and verify its suitability for the intended use. The study and comparison of the curves obtained during the analysis of the material provide valuable information in the research and development phases, process verification, and investigation of the causes of damage or breakage. 01 Chemical imaging

The innovative Chemical Imaging (CI) technique, available on the IR Microscope, allows simultaneous acquisition of chemical (IR spectra) and spatial (sample image) information for the study of multilayers and surface inhomogeneities, as well as for the identification of pollutants on the surface of any organic solid material.

02 ICP-OES spectrometry

This technique allows for the precise analysis of chemical elements, even in trace amounts, in solid and liquid samples of any kind. Ideal for those who need reliable, high-quality results.

03 C-S determinator

It allows the percentage of carbon and sulfur present in metallic and non-metallic samples such as cement, ceramics, ash, etc. to be determined.

04 Gas chromatography with mass spectrometry GC-MS

It is used for the qualitative and quantitative determination of organic compounds and additives in solid, liquid, and gaseous samples. This technique is also used for the analysis of hydrocarbons and solvents.

05 UHPLC-MS-UV and HPLC-DAD liquid chromatography

These techniques allow even very complex mixtures to be separated, enabling the presence of substances and/or additives in materials such as polymers, drugs, and leather to be verified.

06 Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)

Thermal analysis based on enthalpy changes that can be used to obtain a wealth of information such as: characteristic temperatures (melting, crystallization, glass transition), degree of crystallinity, degree of cross-linking of resins and adhesives, specific heat (cp), influence of additives.

07 Thermogravimetric Analysis TGA

This technique allows the weight loss of the sample to be measured as a function of temperature increase, identifying both the volatile parts and the inorganic residue. For further analysis, the instrument can be interfaced with the TGA-IR Infrared Spectrometer and/or the TGA-MS Mass Spectrometer.

08 FT-IR Infrared Spectrometry

This analysis allows chemical information (functional groups and covalent bonds) to be acquired for both polymeric materials and organic or inorganic components.

09 Dynamic Mechanical Analysis DMA

Configurable according to the expected mechanical stresses (tension, bending, shear), this type of analysis determines the viscoelastic characteristics (elastic and viscous modulus) as a function of temperature and stress frequency, simulating real conditions of use (at temperatures ranging from -100°C to +250°C).
