01 Chemical Analysis

The chemical analysis of metallic materials makes it possible to precisely define their chemical composition, to guarantee the quality and safety of the finished product, and to certify its compliance with design requirements. 02 Chemical Imaging

The innovative Chemical Imaging (CI) technique, available on the IR Microscope, allows the simultaneous acquisition of chemical (IR spectra) and spatial (sample image) information for the study of multi-layers and surface inhomogeneities, as well as for the identification of pollutants on the surface of any solid organic material. The applications of this technique are manifold: chemical imaging analyses are mainly used in quality control, the study of contamination (e.g. the evaluation and characterisation of microplastics in water) and the forensic analysis of materials.

03 Industrial computer tomography

Industrial computed tomography is a non-destructive diagnostic methodology that uses X-rays to obtain three-dimensional images of the inside and outside of a component, detecting any defects such as porosity, discontinuities, deformations. With this type of inspection it is possible to examine any material, to detect any defects that may compromise the use of the part. Pontlab chose Baker Hughes GE V TOME X M 300, which manages to combine the advantages of industrial tomography with the precision of metrological measurements.
